I have been to the UK in November 2005, but I understand that if you want to visit the UK after June 2009 all visitors must have a visa.

I want to attend the Bulldog Bash motorcycle rally) to promote an aftermarket product for motorcycles. And I want to visit my son, who s legally in the UK. I have no intention to overstay my welcome. South Africa is far to a lekker place to stay.

I would like to know from you guys who have visited the UK for business how you did it and is there any pointers that you can give me regarding the application for the visa.

Thanks

Thats right - the exemption program ends at midnight 30 June so if you're going after that then you'll need to go to Cpt (I see your location is set to mossel bay) to get yours. I understand its a fairly painless - though expensive - process.

You can get the forms here - http://www.vfs-uk-za.com/index1.aspx

My missus needs one for August but fortunately we're supposed to be getting an office here in PE this month.

I am going to CT next week, and want to apply for my visa.

Will it also be for business?

Can I expect a problem to attain the visa due to the fact that I have a son in the UK.

I am worried that they will think that I want to stay and work illegally in the UK.
