Just a quick question. Need to order 3 copies of Vista, but should I take the 32bit or 64bit version. They will be installed on new Core2Duo E6600 systems.
Does most new hardware come with 64bit drivers? Pro's/Con's?

Well If want the OS to see 4GB of RAM or more you have to go with 64 bit. And don't be too quick to listen to the people saying go for 32 because there are a heckload of people that have solid stable builds that are running Vista 64. Best thing for you to do is simply search if theres good 64 bit drivers for your hardware and if your current apps that you use can take advantage of a 64 bit OS. If that's true then switch, if not stick with 32, you won't be missing anything.

id oder 32bit and maybe just wait till there is a service pack 1 available

cus the first few additions has loads of errors and problems, like any other new product :o

Well, it seems from what I read that the DVD has both versions. So I'll install on one system and see how it goes.

Ja, you're right the DVD has both. I'd try out 64 and see how it works, but that's just me.

There's no problem with 64 bit besides drivers, so if you can get those, why not?

ya but what if you cant?

does vista work like this:

you can install 64 bit and then if you dont like change over to 32 bit with the same cd key

is it not to seperate cd keys? meaning if you find out your stuff does not work you have to go buy 32 bit

If you have the retail version of ultimate you can uses both discs with the same key. the only requirement is only one copy of vista with the same key installed at the same time.

For other retail versions the same apply but you need to pay R100 and order the 64bit disc from MS.

Retail is way to go imho. No issues with activation or having to pick between 64 bit and 32 bit.
