I bought a laptop with Vista Ultimate (32-bit) on it .

I am under the impression that 32-bit liscenes are valid for 64bit installs /

Where can one get the media for a 64bit install ?

It only applies to vista ultimate as far as i know, i could be mistaken.

No it applies to home premium and business as well. The difference is ultimate gets the 64 bit disc in the box for the other two you need to order a disc for R100 from MS. Not sure if it applies to oem/dsp for retail copies that's the case.

Got it as the installed os on my dell m1330... there is not 64bit disk in the box set.. is ther anyway i can apply for one.. or should i just try to find a pirate copy and then use my legit key ?

Does your laptop have a 64bit CPU though? ;)

YES ITS VALID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

i turned my 32 home premium into 64 with my oem key. if its oem you have to aquire it use the 32 bit key and phone in to Auth it - otherwise you could ask microsoft themselves for a install disc (but this is for non-oems only as far as i know) can't remember exact wording for it though.
