Vista does not search my D drive ?

Hi guys,
I am using Vista Ultimate 64 bit. I have a partition in my HDD, 40GB for OS and other 280GB for media, games etc. I can access it fine through my computer but when I do that little search on the start menu it only searches my C drive which is irritating as I only ever want to search for stuff on my D drive.
So how do I set it to also search my D drive?

Is everything in your D Drive indexed?

true go to control panel and set the index on for that drive.I prefer not having my drive indexed............it somewhat slows the pc down.Dont be lazy just highlight the drive and in the right top corner just type in your search
