Open up windows explorer or computer> press alt on your keyboard and you should see all the normal options as it were in XP.
You click tools>folder options>view
At the first few options there's an option which says "always show menus" you can select that too if you don't want to press alt![]()
Same place as before: Control Panel > Folder Options > View > Advanced. Some where near the top is a tickbox option to show hidden files and folders.
