I installed Vista, everything was working great with my usb mouse and keyboard. So I pluged in my PS2 mouse and keyboard and now they don’t work. When windows starts up it works but as soon as it gets to the login screen they don’t work.

Any ideas on how t get them working?

Well I dont think many people have Vista yet, so its gonna be hard to find specific help. But that sounds like a Vista software problem seeings as they work as it starts up..

No idea what you can do though, because you cant go and uninstall the USB drivers or anything like that without any mouse or keyboard. Try plugging the old ones back in and uninstall their drivers then shutdown and try PS2..
You probably did this though... you sure you have unplugged the USB stuff :p

I am here at my parents house for a couple of days. had to bring the pc with to do some work, but only the box. So i don`t have a usb keyboard or mouse to use. :( Looks like i will have to go buy one.

hhhm, its wierd, caus i have been running Vista with an old PS/2 keyboard, without any issues. Might just be some issue with the drivers...

I got onto vista now with a usb mouse i borowed and the on screen keyboard. The problem was it had to install drivers for the ps2 mouse and keyboard.

With Vista, nothing is simple, except for Vista of course.
