I see that http://www.pcgameworld.co.za has vista on pre-order
MICROSOFT Windows Vista Ultimate FPP - R3899

MICROSOFT Windows Vista Home FPP - R1999
 
Holy !@$% that's expensive! You'd expect for the price you'd get free MS Office with that, at least for the price!
 
I bleive that the DSP version that gets sold with new PC's will be cheaper.

And, i stand to be corrected, but pcgameworld will give you 15% discount for each pre-order.

Me, personally, I made the mistake of getting Flight Sim X when it was first released, I am going to wait a few months and get Vista with a new PC.
 
Those prices are about twice what I would be prepared to pay. I think I'll sign up on the Black Pearl for this ride!
 
I agree, but why is Microsoft so bloody stupid!?

If the prices were lower, people will not think of ways to pirate the software & actually buy it legally.

That is just too damn expensive & a joke. :mad:
 
Never mind the price, its microsoft incessant bowing to content providers like the RIAA and MPAA that have doomed vista and given a massive boost to up and coming linux media distros.
 
Must admit, it's the first time in my life that I'm not rushing out to buy/pre-order a new version of Windows.

Think I can 'hold out' for another six months when the first SP gets released.

Okay, so I'm assuming that this Home Premium is the OEM version and it will be R1350 with VAT?

hehe, agree with killa. Those prices are complete ripoffs. OEM versions are a lot cheaper.

Kingrob, I will get you a price for vista ultimate, but it will only be avaliable on the 31st according to suppliers.
