Hi I was wondering if readyboost actually makes any diference to the performance of Vista.

I have 2Gig of ram and that seems enough I was just curious to know if one purchased a memory stick that was readyboost compliant if there would be any gains in ie the load time of programes ect.

I am running Vista Ultimate with 2 gig of ram and used a 4 gig high speed flash drive with Ready Boost and honestly could not see any difference in speed. I might add that I did not test any ram intensive applications so it may well have an influence on such an application.

From what i've noticed, ReadyBoost is for the people who have less than 2gigs of ram. Myself and a few mates have run a few tests, and it does increase performance when you have less than 2 gigs of ram, but its not as good as having the extra ram in your pc. It also seems to cap off after a while, but we didnt really figure out where.

It definately doesnt help when you have 2+gigs of ram tho
