Vista Tweaking

Just installed Vista on my main machine at home so tweaking should be fun :D
 
I never even got through the whole XP tweak guide :(

I've already tweaked a lot of services and other random things in Vista, hope this has some more good tweaks.
 
Funny, when I bought my Mac, I switched it ON and it just works, no need to tweak anything. No crashes, despite using hardcore video editing software
(used by Hollywood to edit / do postproduction on many a film). A REAL OS shouldn't need any tweaking. You drive a car to get from A to B and not
to customise it's dashboard.
 
PeterCH why don't you play some games on your Mac, oh yes... you can't.

sheeesh.. you've seriously got something against vista.... :rolleyes:

how about going about doing some work on that wonderful mac of yours and leaving us alone? :cool:

Haha, wow. There could also be a tweakng guide for OSX, but no one has bothered to make it. You don't HAVE to tweak anything in Vista, people just enjoy doing it. What do you think you turn on Vista to find it completely broken and now you have to read this 250 page guide to tweak it into working? :p

People tweak just about every application and piece of hardware they can, how you manage to now see this as a negative point for Vista... no clue.
 
I honestly think PeterCH needs to get a life - If you don't like vista, then just shut up and go play with your apples and pears - We don't care how good or bad vista is - its there to play with, its there to amuse people, its there to do work should you need to - and its damn lots of fun to tweak and do what you want with it. If you like your stuff standard and boring - its entirely up to you, it is what you make of it.

Peter don't associate Hollywood with your ignoarance or rather stupidity, just because you use FCP and Magic bullet that doesn't make you hollywood or anywhere near the worst hollywood film ever.

you're not working on an AVID machine nor are you pre-rendering on Quadro cards, nor are you shooting on DVC-PRO or anything like that. So keep Hollywood and you far apart.
