Vista UAC

Even screws with remote support stuffs, hate it -.-

You won't hit problems, all it does is every file you open warns you it could dangerous or something like that.

I've turned mine off but it is really nice to leave it on for some people. These are the same people who say "the message went away too fast for me to read it". It actually makes them think when they run something. For powers users it is quite annoying though

I'm surprised that they didn't lose it after beta-tests. Surely no sane beta-tester would approve of it...

They cut down some of the prompts in SP1, but I haven't used it since the RTM. Disabled it almost immediately. I'm not sure how bad it is after you're done setting everything up though.

1st thing i do on any new installation of vista, turn the mofo off !!!

I wish they had defaulted it to off with a new Vista Install.

definately disabled - thought they'd have taken a Serious look at it for SP1, but alas still anoying. By disabling it though, it opens a bit of a door, but hell there's hardly any walls with the amount of holes anyway so why not just get rid of the annoyance... :D

click on your "Start" button, type in msconfig and hit enter....
on the (tools) tab, scrool down, choose Disable UAC and click Launch.
Reboot - UAC gone... :)

Or you can go control panel ,user accounts, turn user account control on or of and just remove the tick from the box. then reboot.
