I am looking for a copy of Vista Ultimate 64.. I have the 32 bit version OEM on my laptop and i have been told i can use my key on a 64 bit version but i can not get hold of the dvd... does anyone have a copy or a place i can downlaod it.. ?

You could find a normal download so easily I won't even tell you how. :D

But I guess you want to download it locally to save on cap maybe? In which case the news servers have it cached for local. Check out some threads on the news servers to see how it works.

You need the retail version to get a 64-bit DVD legally, and only pay for the courier. I don't think you can download it legally ever.

don't know why dell doesn't supply 64bit os's on its systems

I don't think many Dell users need to use 64-bit apps, or more than 3GB of RAM right now. It will probably change in a year or two.

Dude 64 bit is not just for 64 bit applications, the whole OS is so much better than the 32 bit version.

Infact Microsoft should push 64 bit vista because its flippin awesome.

64 bit is the way to go. Unless you have some crucial apps which can't work under 64 bit. But for home use and most games its superior to vista 32 bit and on par if not better than xp.

Might try and find a version and try my oem key... if they doenst work i need a clean install of the 32 bit anyways

Looks like it is a case of search and you will find...
