I have Vista home Premium on my laptop. and i have set the windows update to notify me to download and install updates for my pc.

i dont update the pc every day but about once a week or so if i remember. Now i updated my PC on monday with all the Vista security updates and general updates for Vista. Are these updates really necessary?

there were 7 updates available on monday (which i downloaded and installed)and today when i looked at the update thingy there were another 10 to download. Should i download these updates? or is it just taking up more space on my laptop?

You downloading the updates with local or international cap? How big are they? The only reason not to download the updates is if you are downloading it with 3G on a 40mb BW cap and you only have a 6Gig HDD with 1gig free space... :D

My internet is not capped and i have enough hardrive space. was just wondering if it all is really neccessary.

Cool, but my thinking is, if it's there and nothing is keeping me from downloading it, why not. I am sure they won't send anything through updates if it ain't necessary.

Have you downloaded SP2 beta yet?

I know it was available through the windows updates... Was quite big, so you would have noticed it. Try google-ing it or look on the MS site. To lazy to get links for you now, soz. :D

ok thx. then i prob already already downloaded it..... i never check the size of the stuff i download since i dont have a prob with the uncapped internet.

ok now i am haveing a prob with downloading the updates. its saying that the updates are not configured properly??? WTF?
