That's what I was wondering too... hope he didn't facepalm too hard after that comment.
Well, if he's gonna compare a PS3 exclusive to....ermmmmmm....FAIL.

Anyway, it's clear that the PC wins this hands down but it all comes down to the usual argument of having to empty out your wallet every few years to be able to get a decent gaming experience on the PC with the latest games.

360 vs PS3 looks a lot tighter but we have our own thread to discuss that. ;)

Re: Emptying out your wallet, I think its a little easier when the games cost less than half (free if you don't mind sleeping with a guilty conscience). Saying that, the PC version in the video looks A LOT more jerkier than the Xbox version, I'll take blurry graphics over slow down any day of the week.

TBH, the 360 really creamed the PC in that comparison. OK, if I had watched the HD version I would've seen slightly better textures on the PC version I'm with you on choosing smoother gameplay over miniscule image quality improvements. Look at the rocket launcher scene and the bridge driving scene specifically, 360 is better.

Oh and I've finished GTA4 on 360 so I can give a first hand account that the gameplay really is that smooth.

The PC comes out tops in all of the games and the consoles look very similar until you get to the GTAIV screenies.....where the PS3 looks shockingly bad!

No surprises on the PC, but when knew that. It's just natural progress.

As an exPc fanboy I must say though that I still have no incentive to go back. My butt prefers my couch and I suck at twitch. The "dumbing down" effect of using a controller for FPS/Shooters has made me a lot more competitive, so I'm happy.

No comment about post #2 in this thread?

It was so good I had to add it to my sig.

That being said, there's nothing stopping that said butt from buying a tray and wireless mouse & keyboard...

Only idiots judge a games visual prowess, looking at a compressed screenshot.

Can't tell how a game looks like that. It demonstrates falsely.

Rather look at a game in real time. The only way.

I hear you but looking at the PC they used and then looking at the difference in screenshots I must admit the R1800 console is by FAR the way 2 go.

I'm with Valante (post #2) on this if they are trying to compare a machine's capability
since most of the ports to PS3 is just crap and you only notice its power when you look at
the exclusives and 1st party titles where the devs put some effort into it.
