Beta 2 is available from yesturday!

I am really interested in trying out TFS, but I also started the download for VS 2010 Ultimate.

Whats your experience on it thus far?

I'll wait for the RTM, thank you... I'm done beta-testing a vendor's software. I get to do beta-testing of our OWN software way too often! :p

Well, Beta 2 comes with a production license to it essentially is RTM. That is the reason why I am downloading this one and didn't bother with Beta 1.

Have they changed the naming convention for the various editions? No more Express/Standard/Professional/Team System.

Using Visual Studio Home Basic would just sound lame...

Team System is still available [I might be wrong though] as it is a diffirent range but I don't really understand what the other versions entails...

I'd prefer Home Premium. It will come with a built-in Windows Media Centre control for both Web and Windows! :D

Which means if you want the UML stuff (which is the best thing in the whole world ever), you need the Ultimate Edition....

/me runs off to start dropping hints to the powers that be...

Friday... Thursday... it's all the same to me! This week is waaaaaaay too long for me.

Well in that case start thinking of hints to drop to convince your powers that be that you need VS 2010 Ultimate.

Things like:
You know how much time I would have saved tracking down [insert bug here] if I could have generated a sequence diagram of [insert class/method here].

If we had IntelliTrace we would have been early on [insert project that had a lot of issues that slowed down development here].

How do I download the install package? My home PC doesn't have internet, so I'd like to download all the install files from work, and then install it at home.

Don't you just get it if you're a Microsoft partner? Which we are? We get stacks of discs every other month with new software, updates, etc...

The installer (speaking under correction here) should download the .iso file.
Burn to Disc.
