Visual Voicemail activation on Vodacom

Has anyone tried to activate Visual Voicemail on Vodacom recently? Their website still lists messaging "VVM ON" to 123 but when doing this I get a message saying that the 123 service has been discontinued.

Thread necro, apologies, but did you ever get this sorted? Also were you on prepaid or contract? Having the same issue and customer care says they don’t support it anymore

I got it activated last year by calling customer care. I’m on contract though.

Mine is working (most of the time) as well - as I recall customer service had to activate it.
