I've been using the health app on my iphone to record my activities and get the points etc on vitality, but now I have a new Apple Watch for a few days and have a bit of a weird problem.

Yesterday I had on my iphone 9,600 steps and on my watch 10,800. Obviously the watch is on my wrist all the time while I leave my phone on a table or whatever and don't always have it on me.

So the thing is, the health app on the phone has read the steps from the phone and given me 50 points, instead of the 100 points for the steps from the watch (over 10,000 steps = 100 points).

If I go to activity on the iphone app, all of the data is pulled from the watch, but the steps and distance covered is still from the phone?

Any idea how I can change it to come from the watch instead?

Perhaps check the data sources on your phone app and remove the phone as a source, leaving only the watch.

I had thought that too, but it only seems to have the option to delete the data from the iPhone but not the iPhone itself. That’s in the health app on the iPhone anyway, maybe there is somewhere else to do it?

Hey, got it. At each activity press the edit button and prioritise the devices :D

Thanks for help mate
They have vitality in the UK as well. Is there any sister agreements between the 2?

You can also remove or make a device inactive.

Good to know, still trying to figure this piece of kit out. But I have to say, it is seriously impressive so far.

I noticed it advertised on tv, but I'm not sure tbh. I am wired into the SA one though and trying to climb up through the levels at the moment though so still working fine over here.
