I've had my vivaz for about 3 months. On the 31st October 2010 the handset suddenly acted up and switched off and I couldn't charge the handset. On 1st November 2010 I took it to MTN to check/repair the handset. 3 Weeks later it's returned to me saying the "system connecter" has been damaged. This is considered as physical damage which now is not covered under the warranty.
I then mailed MTN enquiring as to what caused it and why my handset is not repaired/replaced. I recieved a reply stating it's not covered by warranty. I replied wanting to know if my handset is not going to be replaced and after a week haven't recieved any reply concerning this.
If anyone has knowledge about this procedures could you please enlighten me if I have grounds to stand on to have my handset replaced. My reasoning is that the handset is 3 months old and should not have this problem. I'm so pissed and don't know what to do. I wonder if the ombudsman can assist me.
Any help is much appreciated.
