Leave it to you to gravitate towards a language similar to Go.cope![]()

They are planning on making their own compiler@BeerIsNotGood... what is so promising about it?
"V's main backend compiles to human readable C" meh
Everyone's rolling their own compiler these days...They are planning on making their own compiler

C has a lot of momentum behind it, especially in the embedded world. It's also the lingua franca of the programming world. Been with us for over 40 years and runs most of the modern world. Oh and it's also the second most popular language in the world according to TOIBE. It's simple and elegant, doesn't overcomplicate things. It's a very powerful tool in the hands of someone who understands the language well. It was never designed to be a kitchen sink language with all the features in the world. Rather it's based on the philosophy of building your own tools and libraries once and then using those to create more complex abstractions. I love C, C ain't going anywhere.Nothing wrong for wanting a C replacement![]()
Unfortunately coding body shops and other companies with developers will disagree because according to them if you can't OOP, you're worthless.C has a lot of momentum behind it, especially in the embedded world. Gen Z looking to remain relevant of courseSeems like every Jan Rap en maat has programming language. Fast forward 30 years from now and we'll probably still mostly be using C/C++ and Java for things that matter
