VLC for iOS returns on July 19

VideoLAN revealed some very exciting news today: VLC for iOS will be back in Apple’s App Store by tomorrow (July 19). The company tells TNW the app will be available for free worldwide, requires iOS 5.1 or later, as well supports the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

One of the things I really like about VLC is it plays just about everything I throw at it.

I now only use Infuse.... got so frustrated with all the others...sticking to infuse now

Doesn't support SMB so I don't see any poinit of moving from GoodPlayer.

To play media I guess. I don't really have a need for it though with Plex installed.

In my case only for the odd occasion I receive email with a video Apple doesn't support. Being late to the game will tend to obsolescence.

Not sure if it exists on iOS but MXPlayer on Android is great.
