Hi,

Anyone know where I can get the GPRS settings for an i-mate SP3? (Virgin Mobile pay as you go)

Thanx!

Let me know if you have any problems.:D

Oi, I ran into problems:confused:

I created a new GPRS connection named virgin_internet:

Connects to: The Internet
Access point: vdata
User name:
Password:
Primary DNS:196.31.116.241
Secondary DNS:196.31.116.241
IP Address:

GPRS on the phone works perfect, but as soon as I connect the phone to my PC, no luck :( If I run tracert www.mybroadband.co.za in a command window, I starts to show the output, so I think the connection is working, but I can't browse any site using any browser.

Anything else I need to check/do?

Regards

maybe you need to enter the ffg initialization string in your modem settings:

at+cgdcont=1,"ip","vdata","",0,0

Thanx for the reply. I got the Cell C settings (as a .cab file) from Leaf, and I typed in the initialization string. I can now connect to the web, but only www.google.co.za loads  I put the VM sim in my Nokia 6600, and everything works perfectly (both on the phone and via my PC).

It seems as if it is something specific to the SP3 :( Any other suggestions?

PS Before I got the starter pack, I mailed Virgin Mobile, and they informed me that the SP3 is fully supported, and I asked them to send me the settings for the SP3, but I have not heard from them since
