I recently got an HTC Tytn II from Virgin Mobile on V100 postpay. The phone is bundled with free Navigon Mobile Navigator 6 software.
I have followed the registration instructions to the letter, but am stuck at one point: I am supposed to acquire a serial key for activation at http://www.leaf.co.za/Navigon/Mobile+Navigator/ , but, on filling in my details, I receive the error "The IMEI number you enter is invalid,".
I phoned Leaf several times, but each time I was put on hold for 10min after which I was politely asked to phone back during office hours (Mon to Fri: 08h30 t0 17h00 and Sat: 09h00 to 13h00). This despite the fact that I was, in fact, phoning between the aforementioned office hours.
After two days of this, I went to the store where I got my phone (Virgin Mobile in Somerset Mall). I waited for 20 minutes and was then called into a back room where I spoke over the phone to some Leaf technical support operator who seemed to know less about the registration than I did. After going through the same steps as I had previously, I was told that I would be phoned back the next day. My number was taken and the call was terminated.
It is now two days later and I am still waiting for a phone call. I phoned Virgin's 123 and was, again, referred to Leaf and, again, they didn't answer the phone.
What am I supposed to do now??? I'm paying for GPS I can't use!
