Vm ware Networking

Hey all

I am running Windows XP on my pc, and installed vmware but when running xp on the vmware i cant connect to the internet, i tried turning my firewall off but no avail.

I have set my router to modem so i use the connections, but now when i try that on the vmware xp it can't connect to pppoe any help please?

make sure that your vm's ethernet connector is operating in bridged mode

Ya it is, but sadly still nothing.

It just does not want to connect to the ppoe like some thing is blocking it

Try this: Share a folder on your PC, then try to access it via the "VMware" network on the Virtual Machine. If you can do this then the internet should work.
If not, try the other mode (not bridge).

Do you have hamachi installed. i have to disable the hamachi virtual network adapter to get VMware to network as it tries to use the virtual adapter, rather than my NIC
