Hi guys, I would appreciate some info/advice regarding the VMC software and Vodafone modem.
One of our corp users has a Dell Vostro 200 pc at home, on WinXp.
He received a K3715 HSPA modem a while ago, but is having problems with it every now & then, can't pickup the modem, disconnects etc. etc. (Kempton Park area).
We had the VMC-Lite software on, not great, and put the VMC software, as downloaded off the VC website, but still sometimes the pc does not pick up the modem, (can hear the windows sound, on insert or remove of USB device), can it be the modem, or rather the software?
I personally doubt its the modem, coz he had similar intermittend problems with the E220 before the K3715.
I know myself the VMC software can be a bit, umh... temperamental.
V3G.... has the VMC software on Voda website changed/updated recently (last 3 months)? I.e. wondering if its worth downloading again, and re-installing?

I see on Vodacom website there are 2 VMC software downloads:
http://www.vodacom.co.za/services/vodacom_broadband/downloads.jsp
Application Software - VMC 7.03.0005.0.zip 45Mb
Application Software - VMC 9.3.6.zip 77Mb
I assume the v9.3.6 would be best option for USB modems like K3715?
(bytheway, why are there 2 versions kept, I guess latest version does not cover all the modems?)
