Vodacare repair

Hey guys, I have a 9900 that I bought from Vodacom prepaid. I do not have my proof of purchase. Will they repair under warranty still?

I'm assuming they could check the age of the phone using the imei number or similar?

It also has the annoying Vodacom graphic on start up.

Take it to Vodacare and they will check the warranty status before booking it in.

Yeah, they scan/enter the imei number or serial number.. you dont need proof of purchase. So long as you within the usual 2 years warranty period.

Thanks guys. Anyone know if it's true that you need to have had a vodacom sim card in your phone for 30 days to get warranty?

Nah not for 30 days but you need to atleast have made a call on the phone using a Vodacom sim.
