Vodacom 2Gig+2Gig with iPad

Hi,

Vodacom, are advertising iPads with a 2+2Gig data contract. What I'd like to know is, is it possible to do something usefull with that 2Gig Night Owl data, on an iPad, or is it the equivalent of a spare prick in a whore house?

Do you have to use is on a device other than the iPad?

You could always tether the ipad to a PC and use it as a modem to download stuff

Seeing as it uses a microsim you can't really use it in anything else. Best option would be to create a hot spot or tether it to your PC as mentioned above. Data is data, I used to personally just download a couple of series near the end of the month when I had night owl.

Didn't they have problems using them as a hotspot here?

Not really a fan of Serials or Movies for that matter ... , but yeah - is doable ...

Of course you can, if you keep the tray it comes in.
