This is the new 3g usb modem that came from vodacom. It has its own software on it and comes with no cd's. It works perfectly on my windows xp machine but when i try and use it on my dell which has windows 2000 on it, it does not pick it up.. I tried on another dell with windows 2000 sp4 but still it does nothing. I believe it is a probelm with the Dell hardware as it says everywhere i read that the device is supported by 2000 and XP. Please if anyone could help me resolve this issue without having to put XP on these machines, I would be much appreciative. Thanks in advance!

Reboot the Dell, have a look at the BIOS version and get the machine's express service tag, then check on Dell's website for a newer BIOS version, update the BIOS when there is no risk of a power cut [
