Can someone please help me, i'm at my wits end.

My Vodacom 3G Huawei E220 usb modem didn't load the drivers onto my machine when i first connected. I have since had Windows XP Pro reloaded and still no joy. A vodacom technician came to my house and took off the vodafone dashboard and installed Huawei mobile connect software.

I can now connect to the network, send and receive sms's and update my antivirus program etc... but when i click on browser or internet explorer my machine hangs. When i unplug the modem all the programs that were hanging open.

I'm running Win XP Pro.

Please help i feel like breaking the thing!!

Simple solution, don't click on the browser [Internet Exploder] button in HMC, use the normal quicklaunch or other method of launching Internet Exploder - even better to install Firefox or Opera, and then use one of those instead of Internet Exploder...

Hi IC

Thanks for the reply, you are the only person i have spoken to who thinks there is a simple solution. I still cannot get I/E to work. I followed your suggestion and downloaded Firefox and it works 100%! If you were close to me i would buy you a keg of beer.

Thanks again for the help, you seem to know more than most call centre agents at Vodacom and Microsoft.

LOL, no problemo, now to convince you to use Gmail if you aren't already doing so...[see my forum signature] :).

Man, I just started using Firefox because of how much the forumites rave about it here. What a freakin pleasure. Nice job helping the guy out ic :)
