vodacom 3g internet access and windows explorer

Sitting with a bit of a problem and not sure if its vodacom 3 g or windows 7.

I have a 3g modem Hawai 220 that connects to the internet but internet explorer cannot log onto the internet.

Tried firefox same result.

Confused as to why the modem will connect and not explorer.

I have a dual boot system with windows 7 and ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

No problem with Ubuntu at all..only windows.

Any pointers?

Setup help with internet explorer or maybe windows 7 appriciated.

Check to see that there is a DNS configured when connected. It could be that although you have an internet connection, you don't have DNS to connect.

Yes i do have a internet connection...dashboard indicates a connection.

What would the D.N.S be?
