T-ZONE sucks, but then what would you expect of a Telscum product?
It doesn't surprise me that Telkomonopoly's T-Zone is useless - I don't even have HomeDSL512 or BusinessDSL512 that allows you a few "free" T-Zone sessions a month that are limited to 30 minutes per session - instead of what a broadband access strategy should be based on - the amount of data you can transfer during a single session...madness I tell you...sheer madness...
I was on the Telkom T-Zone trial, and in my experience it was very good. They have E1 lines linking the Base stations, and reponse was excellent. It also wasnt shaped at all... I was frequently getting 1.5Mbps on, eh, downloads

Just so there's no misunderstanding, my point about the T-Zones is that Telkomonopoly are using them as a money-spinner - you have to be on ADSL512 before you're even eligable for so called "free" sessions, and then only a few of them per month, and then only for a few minutes, why don't Telkomonopoly specify a maximum amount of free T-Zone data transfer allowance per month [yes I know - another cap...

actually IC, it does. On VLive, you have the option of using a "hotspot" to connect. I think what Vodacom were trying to do is use the Telkom Hotspots for VLive Wifi access. Hopefully they have changed their minds

The Wi-Fi access would theoretically be faster and cheaper... Although no-one can confirm how the costing of wi-fi access works i.e. whether data there would count towards your cap of whether you would be billed seperately.
