vodacom and vodafone branding?

hey all

does vodacom still do there vodafone branding of there phones?
i remember a had vodafone n95 which seemed very crippled compared to my friends n95 that wasnt branded?

do they still do this as i want to buy it from a vodacom store?

any advice???
