Vodacom Android App - more permissions

Is there any good reason for the Vodacom Android app to now want permission to use camera and microphone? Or is this just a case of a lazy programmer doing a 'Select All'? It's really creepy, and first reaction is 'Maybe better to uninstall ...'.

Phhhh Vodacom app is rubbish, and so is their data network especially today it was really slow in the Vaal
