Vodacom android app widget

Anybody able to use the widget to see available data balance?
I mostly get the below and opening the app doesn't help

It's been broken for a couple of months for me. I just ditched it.

Ok, I'm late to this party but this has been bugging me for a very very long time now. I have contacted VC multiple times. The people on the other end don't even know what I'm talking about. I've sent emails. All to no avail.
MTN had the same issue but I see theirs is now sorted. I cannot fathom how such a large supposedly 'tech' company can't get this to work.
I have sort of given up but I used to depend on this widget heavily
