Vodacom billing for google play store

Yes Vodacom and Telkom support carrier billing, I hv already used the service on both networks multiple times.
 
Yes to reactivate it can be a bit of a hustle sometimes on Vodacom. An easy solution is to go to your app manager and clear your Google play store data. Then try add or reactivating it again.
 
Mines is also not working. I've tried everything. Does anyone know why it's giving a problem
 
It's been a few days now, and Vodacom Billing still isn't working. :confused:
 
I thought it was just me. My option was saying 'not eligible' under Bill to Vodacom account. Tried calling Vodacom and they were of no use. The lady just said 'then ur not eligible'. Didn't even try to see if there was an issue with my account. Has anyone figured out what's going on?

I'm still waiting on a call from Vodacom. I'll see what they have to say about it. I find it strange that they told you you're not eligible, because then it means that everyone is "not eligible", even after it worked for quite a while. It must be an issue on their side. Hopefully more people will complain about it, so that the issue can be resolved soon.

EDIT: So it seems that Vodacom was not aware of the Vodacom billing issue, and a fault has been logged for my number. The more people who complain about it, the quicker this can (hopefully) be resolved.

Miz pimp which vodacom number did u call to log a complaint? I am having the same problem. At first it said not eligible. Then i removed it but it does not give me the option to add vodacom as the bill carrier again.
 
I am experiencing the same problem so I went into vodacom store they said it's a problem from vodacoms side so we won't be able to purchase until vodacom fixes it.
 
Same issue. Where can we log faults? I tried twitter. They told me it's Google's fault
 
They also told me it Googles fault, but we should all phone to let them know about the issue

Yes Vodacom does support carrier billing and it worked fine for a few months. But for the last month (March/April 2017) it has only worked for 1 day a week. The other 6 days it says "Not Eligible". This is DEFINITELY a Vodacom issue. I have even called Google in the US and they confirmed that it is an Vodacom issue. (Telkom Mobile works perfectly)

I have called Vodacom support numerous times about this and most of the time they do not even know what I am talking about. Their support are absolutely useless and nothing gets done.

I wrote an Android game and this Vodacom issue is severely impacting me as the game is aimed at SA players and thus prevent my players from buying in game currency. It is very bad for my players and the game.

I am motivating all my players now to move away from Vodacom and to get Telkom Mobile as its the only network where carrier billing actually works.

If anyone has a suggestion on how to get through to someone competent at Vodacom please let me know. They are really screwing my little startup. (sad face)
 
I tried to use carrier billing for Deezer, but could not get it to work. :(
That worked with Vodacom with absolutely no issues, but on the Play store, I don't even have the option to select Vodacom as a payment method. Only credit card and redeem voucher.
 
If the Vodacom carrier billing works, would I be able to purchase in game currency using my existing airtime? or would it get added to my month end bill?
