My 300x300 was still the best (last year). No limit on speed. Let's hope something like that will pop up.
 
Can anyone help with these simple questions?
Vodacom chatbot just hangs with no answer. Call center transfers from one to the other. 2 different store staff gave me different answers.

Business Package SIM card only 500GB MBB Black Friday 500GB @ R299 x 24
Personal Package SIM only Data contract 800gb (400 + 400) @ R349 x 24 launching on Friday

Can you make and receive calls on these sims?
Are you able to add on sims to data share and at what cost per sim per month?

Answers I've received thus far:
You cannot make or receive calls on these sims.
Add on sims I was told no. I was also told yes at a cost of R99 per sim per month.

Anybody with correct answers to these ?

I have a data sim as the second sim in my phone and I can receive calls on the sim.

Edit: Just checked and I am able to add voice and airtime to the sim via the Vodacom App

Judging on the feedback from last years deals, my 2 cents would be:
a) Data sims so can't make or receive "normal" calls. You can obviously make Whatsapp calls if the sim is in a phone.
Edit, as per feedback above u apparently can.
b) No data share.
 
Are there any prepaid data specials? like once-off loading?

And that's the confusing part.
My buddy has a data SIM. He has 3 additional sims which are sharing data off the main SIM at a cost of R35 each per month.
But I was told by Vodacom that it is now R99 per month to add on sims.
And you say no datashare.

Once again no clarification on this.

Guys, what do you make of the 400/400 deal? Is it restricted in terms of speed?
 
The add does not indicate any speed restrictions. Best to check with the consultant though before signing up.

Only 1 of last year's deals were speed restricted and the adds clearly indicated as such.
