Vodacom Blackberry Roadmap or lack thereof?

Have you got a more specific date for the launch other than the the first six months.
 
If the exact date I've been told stays on track then you can keep the month of Feb in mind ;)
 
Nope nothing has changed on phone, still got a ticket open where the issue would be resolved with BIS 2.1, so will phone them today and asked what happened. Might be that they need to send you a new service book
 
It will be nice when/if they finally implement it.
 
Just phoned 155. Upgrade has been done. If you a new BB BIS user then you will be on 2.1. All the existing clients will be migrated at some time. :( They can not give me a time when this will be done. They only said that a communication will be send out on the migration. Can anyone at Vodacom give us a indication if it will happen in the next week, month, year........
 
I just logged onto the website and was given the option to upgrade.

EDIT - several new features but still no obvious way to combat spam!

There is some stuff happening on the 15 September. Do not know if it will be new BB handsets or network changes.

In America on AT&T's network they have stopped releasing the 8800. Started releasing the 8820 - includes GPS - no roadmap form Vodacom

Nice phone but now that I've become accustomed to the Pearl's keyboard I'm not sure if I would want the full sized one again.
 
I have asked the question 2 days ago at a Vodashop. They siad they should be getting stock of the 8310 and 8800 (hope it is rather the 8820) before end of September. They have not received any pricing yet
 
Yeah a Vodashop in Cape Town just told me in a "few weeks" for the 8310 - not sure about the 8800/8820 though.

I have just pulled the latest vodaworld mag from my mailbox and it has a feature insert of the 8310. It says available October 2007
 
Yip I got one parked right next to me with an iPhone theme. Its awesome..............Anyone wanna buy a Pearl?:)
