Hello

Is anyone using such a service and whats it like? Openweb and Nexus supply such a product, maybe others, but Im not sure.

chhers

Wait, is this the same VB 4meg uncapped product openweb and nexus are offering, from what I understand you use your own router, so no L2TP.

does anyone have any info about this product, I suppose I can order it and then cancell straight away, so I only have to pay one month.

We have a Vodacom Business 4Mb Uncapped line from Gamco... and we have two MWEB Uncapped 4Mb Fibre lines from Mweb. The single Gamco line out performs both MWEB lines put together, regardless of time of day or night...

Why is the VCB adsl account from gamco so much more expensive than Openweb or Nexus, I see they require you to sign a 12 month contract. It is the same account, right?

I have no idea? All I know is that we can apply for as many IP addresses as we require. Of course we have to pay for them...

and update,

I got an account from nexus, before on the shaped prepaid webafrica acount pings to bbc.co.uk and google.com were about 350ms, with the uncapped its just under 300 at 297ms

Also it goes through 2 less hops to get to bbc.co.uk on the vodacom business

Downloading 10-20 megs og Linux ISO,

on a single thread, from the UK its going at about 200KB/s. On multiple threads it never dropped below 340KB/s

The same iso from a local mirror never dropped below 300KB/s for single or multiple thread downloads.

Does anyone know if VPN traffic will be prioritised on this account?

you'll have to ask the provider. and then again, they probably will say anything to make the sale...

update: ok so we have been running the whole company on the VB 4 meg service for the last hour or so, speed is OK, never goes bellow 1mbit/s, goes up to about 3mbits/s
