Vodacom Business SIM

Hey Chaps

So iv got this vodacom lte 200 gig setup at my place vodacom gave me a dongle and a router which work together to give me internet, iv also got a static ip address with them because its a business account.

i wanted to find out if there's a way i can use that sim in another router iv tried using the sim in another router it connects fine to the network shows vodacom on the router interface but i get zero internet breakout on it.

As far as I understand this, the Sim cards are locked to the specific routers IMEI.

Second, the router creates a VPN tunnel to supply the static IP address(es) over the Vodacom Business APN.

Meaning the 'internet' APN is disabled on these Sim cards.

I have queried this with my client manager at Vodacom before, the technical guys advised me it is not possible to use another router, other than the one supplied.
