There appears to be a glitch in Vodacom's systems when it displays contract cancellation date. Has anybody else experienced anything similar?
My Vodacom contract expires at the end of Jan 2017 as displayed on image below but when I tried to cancel Vodacom says the cancellation date is actually 2 May 2017. They won't allow me to cancel. I know for a fact the date shown in the image below is correct and I think I know why this problem has occured, but I'm not sure it's possible.
A few days (less than 7 days) after taking out the Smart S I decided it was going to cost me more than the Smart M in the long term, so I tried to change the package but Vodacom game me the wrong advice. After that fight they agreed to roll back to the original contract. Somehow when they rolled back, the contract upgrade and renewal dates must have reset somehow.
Does anybody have any opinion on my rights in a case like this. I know I took this contract out in December 2014 because that was when the iPhone 6 was launched in SA. Vodacom says that the date displayed is incorrect, and I know it's not incorrect.
