Vodacom contract early cancellation

Quick question - does the "75% fee for early cancellation" charge apply to the contract as a whole, or excluding the handset subsidy?

Hypothetically, if one were to take out a contract to get a handset, and then cancel a month later, the effective price of the handset would be 75% x 24m x (monthly amount)?

I doubt that. Give 0821958 a call and they will fax/email you a detailed quote detailing the amount due and how the discount was applied. I cant see that the discount would be applied to the amortised amount for the handset.
 
No dont think so...last time i tried to cancel or something with 4 months left it was few thousand rand. Much more than just waiting out and paying every month.
 
Vodacom are shady as ****. That's how.

They care only about shafting the consumer for as much money as possible.
