Good day
Anybody on here that might have some insider info into Vodacom. I have 2 questions that the normal VC store and call centre can't really answer or maybe just the standard answers.
I have no other option for internet access at home except Vodacom LTE - the speeds are acceptable but the cost / data is high. I would love to have unlimited fibre but this is not possible. So currently I have 2 Data contracts (30Gb + 30GB and 70GB + 70GB) total cost of R750 p/m. I now see that VC now offers bigger data contracts of 200GB + 200GB for R799 x 24. This will double my data for an extra R50p/m. So I want to cancel the other two and get the new one but VC wants me to pay penalties on the cancellation of the 2 contracts which is extremely high due to the 1 being quite new. VC can get a new contract worth R799 for 24 months from me if they can cancel the other 2 but I nobody seems to see it this way . I know VC is a big corporate and the have standard procedures but maybe there is someone that can explain / assist with getting this done if possible.
Tied to my 1st question is the second question. We have a VC tower about 800m from my house. I was wondering will VC ever allow me to install my own fibre line from home to the tower (their specs) and provide me with a fibre account / link. Is this technically possible as I assume the have a fibre link from the tower . Will VC ever make an exception like this if it is technically possible?
Thanks for any information.
