Not in terms of costs, but in terms of the types.

They look like they've been the same for years with no real change. Aside from that, I'm pretty sure they're actually not what people need ... it seems the choice is 50min/10GB or 1,000min / 100MB (exaggerated) and there is nothing inbetween? I look at the Red package and it's 150m / 10GB or 800m / 2GB - what about something in between?

On another note, can Vodacom see my average minute use of the past few months to help me select?

This.

So glad I'm no longer with them.

Vodacom is milking it like wild.

Compare Vodacom to Telkom Freeme and it absolutely boggles my mind why anyone would consider them other than coverage.

True, it's been like that for over 5 years, they did change them for a brief period but went back to old packages.

Regarding average minutes, there are apps that can help

How difficult the number porting process though?

I like my number, but I've always though the process to move was quite difficult.

According to Vodascum upgrade tool my wife had to take a R800 per month contract with basic smartphone based on her usage history. Big surprise telkom freeme2gb with Samsung j5 for R229 per month. Was a painless port out for her.
