I'm a top-up contract subscriber and want to use my microsim in my iPad but still want another sim to make calls. Do I get data sim or twincall?

I have a data sim, but I had it before. If you want to use your airtime from your existing top up contract then you don't have much of a choice anyway.

You want a data sim. If you get twincall then if you switch the ipad on after your phone is switched on then you won't receive any phone calls on your phone as they will go to the ipad instead which can't receive calls. The data sim is a new number and is just linked to your main account so you can share data bundles between the sims. You must use your primary sim in your phone as a data sim can't receice calls.

Thanks guys. Datasim it is. Turns out topup can't have twincall anyway.

They didn't want to give me a datasim on top up either.

Tried it too, no Data Sim on Top Up. Have to use separate deal, pity. Gives more choices though.

Why wouldn't they allow Data Sim on TopUp? They're still getting the cash from the consumer. Seems like more VC bull*** to me.

Yeah, Vodacom is really bad with these behind the scenes limitations.. I don't understand why they can't use some of our hard earned money to implement a billing system that's a little more versatile. That's all you hear back.. Our system can't handle x our system can't handle y. It's funny how their systems are only limited in ways that **** the consumer over.
