same thing, huge effort to make a call.

about 10 attempts to get the call through.

Same in Sunninghill, took me 25 mins to get a call through to my wife while standing outside her office park. Vodascum you suck.

Likely RICA... clogging up the cell networks

Mine has been down in Cape town since 10am.
Vodacom shops in town are flooded with people all saying same thing, and they are RICA registered.
My phone does not connect to the towers at all.

Well, for what it's worth, the Vodacom Facebook page says it has nothing to do with RICA.
