Hi there all, I've just reinstalled my Inspiron 1545 with Jaunty and everything is working fine except my Huawei E220 USB Modem.

I've installed the latest Betavine Drivers but the Vodacom Mobile Connect software won't connect.

I've tried using wvdial with an edited wvdial.conf that contains the vodacom settings without any joy.

I've tried using gnome-ppp and while I can detect the modem, when I dial it sits on "Sending Password"

I've tried using the standard network manager and it establishes a connection but I cannot browse anything.

An ifconfig shows me a ppp0 connection with an ip address so I'm assuming the connection should be functioning.

I'm using a blank username and password and my APN is set to "internet"

Does anyone have any recommendations?
