I’m busy looking at my early upgrade date and I see it’s 5 months before the actual contract end date … I always thought these things were 2 or 3 months?

Regardless, as per my other thread, I’m probably going to downgrade from my current package to a top up or something.

My question is if I upgrade next month, what happens to the 5 months? Do I pay the new package from them and Vodacom waive the 5 months? I’m guessing they get their 5 months anyway - maybe add it onto the end of the contract?

You pay the handset portion of the old contract until expiry. Plus of course your full new contract price. I'd rather wait until the old contract expires. Unless your old phone is u/s.

Nah - my needs have changed.

Don't need the handset, but also don't need the minutes that I took with my old RED package. I need extra data now - so technical it'll be a downgrade. But yea, I can wait.

Thanks !

As an aside, where do you see those dates? Tried briefly to find my info an the Vodacom App but failed
