Vodacom Fibre Infrastructure for Gated Estates

How is Vodacom Fibre for gated estates? They claim to offer free infrastructure build without being subject to buy-in from individuals within the estate. Any good or bad reports?

They required buy in within our estate. I spoke to some people in our estate. Performance is average. They don't give you a password to your router. Prices are generally more expensive than rest of the market. Their infrastructure is not open access yet. They have been promising open access for a while and have not delivered.

Rather go with someone else.

They definitely told me more than once in writing that they do not require buy-in ..but yes frankly I find it hard to believe they will lay infrastructure without buy-in.

In our estate they were going to have a 6month lockout period before allowing other operators onto the infrastructure

Totally different to everything they told me:

* The build will be free
* There are different line speeds and diff isp's they can use
* It's not limited
* Vodacom does not require a buy in

Clearly does not match user experiences.

They told us that they would require a 24 month contract and I don't seem to remember that they offered other ISPs as an option. Told them to take a hike and we got SADV instead.

They stopped the 24 month contract now. You can do month to month but the other ISPs on their network is a complete lie

I would completely avoid Vodacom and MTN Fibre at this stage.

Rather contact Vumatel or one of the Openserve ISPs.
