I had SADV fibre installed on the 16th of July and as of today I am still fighting with Vodacom to get my router configured. I initially had an LTE interim solution (which had terrible speed often less than 1mbps) after the FTTH installation that fell away because they reconfigured the router. However somewhere along the line someone has stuffed up royally because I've phoned 20+ times and had 3 different Techies visit and had the router swapped out once. SADV tested the line and there were no problems. Vodacom can "see" the router but are unable to properly configure it. Does ANYONE have a number that is not some poor call centre agent who can pretty much do FA for me to call and get this crap sorted out.

This is normal Vodacom operating procedure, I'm afraid. They'll keep sending out line techies to do a line test and maybe a router swap. These guys will then have to phone the fibre department and sit outside your house for hours waiting to hear back from them, and will then tell you to wait overnight or something and leave.

They treat their resellers (the people who are supposed to convince the rest of us how great the product is) the same way. At least the resellers have numbers for managers they can moan at.

Maybe you can ask a reseller nicely to get in touch with contacts. I'm not sure what else to suggest. Cancelling would be better. Hope you come right.

From ALL the ISP's you could have chosen that are completely uncapped, unshaped and has reps for support here on the forum you went with the ISP that has an absurd FUP limit and zero support....

I have picked up that people who have cellphone contracts with Vodacom are more likely to apply through Vodacom for Fibre to avoid "waiting periods" /"credit vetting".

Ja begining to see that I may have been a bit hasty, Thanks for all the info will see how much crap they give when I try and cancel... Oh well next fight it is then :P
