Ok, so i live in a complex that makes use of Vodacom Gated Services. As many will know it is rather expensive for what you get. Now they advertise their broadband product to be true broadband and unshaped and all well i say unshaped my a$$. I got this product only to be able to play my online games and check my emails every now and then but the latency I've been getting is insane.

I was wondering if anyone else out there uses their product playing online games and if they having the same issue.

If any Vodacom Gated Services representative is out there on this forum, a answer as to why your product is not up to standard these days would be nice.

I have logged complaints with support but nothing ever happens of it.
 
I am on the 384 package. When i first signed up the service was great and had awesome latency and all. Then the world cup happened. Ever since then the internet started getting more and more sluggish and now its just insane. I did speedtest from speedtest.net, i get download of 0.11 and upload of 0.08. Now even ons a 384 that download should be at least something like 0.33 or more even.
 
When i got the line originally i could play just fine. But once the world cup started latency started going up and up. Now instead of being better again after the world cup it still just got worse and worse and now unplayable.
 
what about the community has that too grown ? i.e congestion and what about the noise on the line

you using fiber ? e.t.c
 
from what i know the community has not really grown. i can say about noise on line or if it fibre. The building i live in has vodacom network in this network gets put in when the building gets build. some contract thing vodacom does when new places get build at some cool spot. Them trying to be all fancy i guess. With the vodacom broadband you dont need a telephone to use or anything like that.
