Vodacom GPS on Bold 9780

Hi All

My dad just got a Bold 9780.

I can't seem to find the link to the Vodacom Satnav software for his phone.

Did a quick search and can't find it on this here forum.

Help pls?

No. They used to use Garmap. They gave you a voucher or something to give it to you free...but there were many complaints a while ago that MTN has stopped this and you cant get free nav on your berry no more. Not sure if this has since been changed.

Yes...else it will use the Vlive APN which does not charge you for the data either...just for the content which in this case is offered to you for free.

Just visited the site on my BB9780. it gives a list of supported devices, the 9780 is not listed, so there is no download link...

What happens if you try the 9700 link?

I have the same problem http://vdc.navigator.telmap.com/vdc/ usually has a download link if your phone is on the above supported list. I downloaded it several times for my 9700.

I drowned two 9700's over Xmas / New year and now it seems I can't download satnav .... bugger really, was a sweet app.
