Vodacom GRPS DNS down?

I know that GPRS isn't exactly broadband, but I thought someone here might be able to help

Has vodacom been having DNS problems lately? I normally use my phone to connect my laptop to the net, but since yesterday I've been able to connect but that's all ... I can't seem to access their DNS server, so I can't actually access anything on the net. Nothing has changed on my system, so I figure it must be them, although browsing via my phone still works okay.

You may find that there was aproblem in that area what type of phone are you using is it a cable dial up or blue tooth or Irda what network are you on? Sorry for all the questions,What do you use your mobile internet connection for, internet banking browsing if your using it a lot then it may be easier cheaper and a lot more secure using a 3g Data card from Vodacom let me know.

Just check the modem init string to make sure the APN setting is still correct. I had a problem where the string vanished and it seemed like DNS was down when i tried to connect
